5 Staple: Nail Polish/Lacquer colours

So you have decided to indulge further into the "Girly Realm" and have started buying nail polish. Here are five colours you should buy first! The must haves if your collection is going to be manageable. (good luck with keeping your collection that way)

It's hard to buy polish especially when there are affordable brands like Kleancolor, L.A colors and L.A Girl that do not limit how much you can buy >.<
If you're buying the mid-priced and higher end polishes you probably want to have a few colours you know you will use often. I personally have a mix of both but the more expensive polishes are the staple colours.

Here are the colours (in no particular order)

Nude polish

When I say nude I mean a nude that suits your skin-tone. These can either be pinkish hued or brown or peach even beige depending on your skin-tone. You don't want a nude polish that makes your nails look yellow and icky.
If you want to see what suits your skin tone check out this post by Allure

Red polish

Everyone needs a red polish for those fiery feeling days when hot doesn't cut it but fierce does.
Just as with nudes the appropriate red for your tone should be chosen. If you already have a lipstick that is the perfect red for you then try to match it or a shade lighter or darker depending on your hands.

Metallic polish: gold or silver or copper

This is essential for Glam Nights or days on the beach when you want your toes to be treasure.

Black polish

Are words needed?
Grungy week, then black. Chic and Sleek, then black. Busted feet, then black.
This comes in handy for patterns too.

Neon polish

This is a must have nowadays with neon trickling into everything it is now a fad in the nail polish world. Using this for designs or just plain keeps people focused. (if you talk with your hands)
Any colour can work, I personally like neon orange.

Slump Hump Day

Maracas Bay(color invert) R.Allum

I'm having university struggles for this new semester. I have outfits to post but I'm so frustrated I can't find the gusto to take pics of them >.<
Tomorrow I will definitely post something, probably a nail post I have queued about Must Haves :3 .
Then I will do a "Back to School Lookbook" for the Caribbean/Tropical Zones and Temperate Zones or my shoe review of my new pumps.

Hopefully by Saturday it will all be sorted out but for now I'm just trying to live my life and pray all goes well with my advising on Friday.

Look1: A Fresh Approach

A Fresh Approach

This was a very fresh and clean look I put together about 2 weeks ago when I initially got over my chicken pox.
I combined things I wouldn't usually and created this new look, A Fresh Approach which is my mindset for the coming semester in Uni, a fresh start and different approach to studying and my life.
This is a good transition look from holidays to school time and it can even be a liming(relaxing) outfit..

Jewelry: Silver is not the best metal for my skintone but with the right outfit it works well. The earrings are chandelier, slightly antique "silver" ones with cyan and light yellow-green stones from Wonderful World(TT) and the bright, silver bangles are from Ardene in Canada(CA)

Shirt: This white, cropped, rolled-sleeve, shirt, my mum purchased from Bang Bang for me with the intention of me using it for church. A little short but I think I can still use it ;)

Shorts: If you check my post before this one you'll see the story of my green, matelot shorts if you want a tutorial/DIY. Originally purchased at Westport(TT) I believe (R.I.P Westport)

Shoes: Qupid Trench-01 (Nude Pat-PU)
The newest shoes to my collection are these nude, Qupid pumps I bought on a whim in Micles(TT) Grand Bazaar for an okay price. Haven't broken them in yet but they look really good on :3
Will review them once I've worn them.

Bag: The cyan, envelope clutch/ shoulder bag, is one of my fave bags but I don't wear it often. Purchased at Micles for under $100TT if my memory serves me right but the first time I used it a screw from it went missing :( (only used it once)

Make up: No styling was done sorryyy >.< A suggestion is below

Alternative
(Not exact pieces I am wearing(Only shoes))

Here is a little make up styling tip for this look.
-To have a polished yet casual look, put your hair up in a bun or a sleek ponytail.
-A bright, pink lip and fuchsia pink glittered nails add more ''umph!'' and steer the look away from a mint ad.
-A simple cat-eye with a peach wash will do for the eyes and light blush for the cheeks so it does not create a clown effect on your face.

Summary: Green shorts, Blue-Green Bag, White cropped shirt, Nude pumps, Silver Jewelry, Pink lips

I hope it was inspiring. :)

New posts on their way! Tutorial(in this post)

New post coming soonnn

I'm trying to make things work without my phone. I seriously need to improve my repertoire of tech gadgets. Why oh why didn't I get a job this vacation >.< Oh well.
I went spending and spending these two weeks after the chicken pox
I was cooped up for so long (not really... I enjoyed every minute @.@ kdramas

When I was released from my cave I just went crazy... I didn't buy much but the amount of walking and store checking I did I could be an Olympian in shopping.
Every store worth anytime I checked out in Port of Spain and Central. I still didn't hit up south since my emancipation but I did frequent there often right before I got sick.

Some of the stores I bought stuff from were:
Micles
Wonderful World
Shoeaholics
Bang Bang
J&K Signature Styles

These are my most frequented local stores, Bang Bang not so much because it's far from where I live but when I did go I was able to pick up some nice items during their sale.

Here's a sneak peek of the upcoming outfit ;)
Post Paint Party Duds
Green, paint, distressed, matelot, shorts :D
Pic doesn't do it justiceee. So this is part of the reprise or repeating as I've worn these shorts a lot (used to be off-white) and now with this paint makeover I can continue to wear them yayz!

A little artsy shorts never hurt nobodyyy. Unless the paint is still running and you get wet... Make sure and wash before wearing! :) Maybe I should do a tutorial for these shorts...

Paint Party Shorts
Step 1: Buy ticket to a paint party
Step 2: Purchase light(pastel or white) coloured shorts
Step 3: Attend party in shorts and get soaked in different colours of paint
 (avoid carrying Iphone)
Step 4: Get washed down with a powerful hose
Step 5: Allow remaining paint to soak into fabric for about 2hours
Step 6: Lightly rinse shorts in cold water and leave out on balcony to dry
Step 7: While still damp, put in a plastic bag and leave shut for 6hours
Step 8: Remove shorts from bag and hang to dry
Step 9: Tell your mum about the shorts
Step 10: Let her handle the rest
Step 11: Your shorts will now be magically clean and have lovely worn in paint stains

Okay okay, so from Steps 9-11 you just gotta wash your shorts like a normal coloured item and put them in the dryer.
When I figure out how to do this without going to a party I'll seriously post :3

Thnx for your patience
